Guest parking passes for apartments.
With XP Flex, a resident sends their guest a parking pass as a link. The guest adds their plate, with no app and no account, and the pass ends on its own. You decide how long a pass lasts, how many guests park at once and how many passes each unit gets.
How a guest pass works
A resident creates a pass
From their phone, in the browser. They pick a length and can pin the pass to one plate.
They send the link
Text it, email it, paste it in a chat. Each link works once and dies after 7 days if nobody uses it.
The guest adds their plate
And an email. No app and no account. The pass shows the location and when it ends.
The pass ends on its own
When the time is up, the guest space opens for the next visitor. Nobody has to cancel anything.
The limits you set
Visitor spaces stay for visitors because the limits are yours, not the resident's. For apartments, Flex starts you at 4, 24 or 72-hour passes, 10 guest spaces, 2 guests per resident and 3 per unit. Change any of them in settings, and put the same numbers in your parking rules.
Guest pass lengths
The lengths residents can pick: 2, 4, 8, 24, 48, 72 hours or a week. Or one fixed length.
Guest spaces
The most guests parked at once. When it's full, a new pass can't be redeemed until one ends.
Passes per resident
How many guests one resident can have at a time.
Passes per unit
One allowance shared by everyone in the unit, so a household with three residents doesn't get three times the guests.
No more “my guest got a sticker”
Paper passes get lost, copied or left on the dash for a month. A Flex pass is tied to a plate and an end time, so plate check tells you in a second whether a car in the visitor zone belongs there. If it doesn't, a resident can report it with a photo and you have the record before anyone calls a tow. Curious what that costs you now? Try the lot leak calculator.
Questions
- Do guests need an app or an account?
- No. The guest opens the link, adds their plate and email, and the pass is live.
- Can a resident give a pass to anyone they like?
- Only within your limits: passes per resident, passes per unit and the number of guest spaces. A resident whose parking is suspended can't send guest passes until the suspension ends.
- Can a guest pass be used for a different car?
- If the resident entered a plate, no: the pass only works for that plate. Each link also works only once.
- Can the office give out guest passes too?
- Yes. A manager can make a pass for the location from Ask Flex. Per-resident and per-unit limits don't apply to it, but it still needs a free guest space.
- What does it cost?
- Starting is free and needs no card.
